Eighty-seven guests enjoyed the beans and rice, cornbread, vegetable casserole, fruit cocktail and dessert prepared by Edgemont Methodist.

Firday September 23, 2011

Again we had a large crowd of 78 guests. Westminster Presbyterian cooked a macaroni, cheese and ham casserole and served it with a salad and dessert.

Grace Bible cooked chicken and dressing, sweet potatoes, green beans and served it with cranberry sauce. Temple prepared the dessert. There were 79 guests.

Magnolia Church of Christ prepared ham and beans, Mexican cornbread, cole slaw and carrot cake. They had 60 guests.

First Baptist cooked big pots of chili and served it with loaded baked potatoes, salad and ice cream sandwiches. We had a very large crowd of 91.

First United Methodist prepared ham, mac and cheese, green beans, salad, fruit and desserts for the 65 guests.

Trinity Episcopal was back again and had a large crowd of 76 guests. The guests were treated to BBQ, slaw, pasta salad, potato chips, potato salad, cup cakes and ice cream....perfect for the Labor Day Weekend.

Trinity Episcopal cooked up ham, potato salad, slaw, rolls and topped it off with ice cream for dessert. They served 41 guests.

We are still thrilled that Grace Bible is participating. They prepared ham and potato casserole, pinto beans, cornbread, fruit jello and cookies and served this to our 88 guests.

Westminster Presbyterian Church served 68 guests hoagies, chips, fruit and brownies. The Soup Kitchen seems to be serving a vital role in the community as we see the number of guests increasing this summer.
