Saturday October 23, 2010

Cross Point Church of Christ joined our community of churches preparing meals. They served taco soup, chips and cookies to 76 guests. Thank you Cross Point.

Wow, 89 guests. We speculate that the Renaissance Fair in Wilson Park may have brought in a few extra mouths to feed. Westminster Presbyterian did a great job. They served lasagna, garlic bread, pear salad, deviled eggs and dessert.

Edgemont Methodist grilled chicken and served it with green beans, fruit cocktail, bread and dessert (dessert was cooked by The Temple). We had 65 guests.

Sixty-seven guests were served a great meal of white beans and ham, mexican cornbread and cake. Thank you Magnolia Church of Christ for this meal.

Another big day with 64 guests and extra volunteers from Stateline Church and Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority from UNA. First Baptist cooked chicken stew and served this with sandwiches, cornbread, crackers and cake.

We had a big crowd today of 63. First United Methodist baked chicken breasts and served green beans, slaw, rolls, mixed fruit and cake.

Saturday October 2, 2010

Woodmont Baptist cooked for us today. They served pork roast, creamed potatoes with gravy, green beans, corn, rolls and cake to our 44 guests. So glad to have Woodmont join the Soup Kitchen Community.

Trinity Episcopal prepared their delicious chicken and dumplings. They served this with cornbread, slaw, corn and cupcakes to our 49 guests.
