Cross Point Church of Christ joined our community of churches preparing meals. They served taco soup, chips and cookies to 76 guests. Thank you Cross Point.
Wow, 89 guests. We speculate that the Renaissance Fair in Wilson Park may have brought in a few extra mouths to feed. Westminster Presbyterian did a great job. They served lasagna, garlic bread, pear salad, deviled eggs and dessert.
Edgemont Methodist grilled chicken and served it with green beans, fruit cocktail, bread and dessert (dessert was cooked by The Temple). We had 65 guests.
Another big day with 64 guests and extra volunteers from Stateline Church and Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority from UNA. First Baptist cooked chicken stew and served this with sandwiches, cornbread, crackers and cake.
Woodmont Baptist cooked for us today. They served pork roast, creamed potatoes with gravy, green beans, corn, rolls and cake to our 44 guests. So glad to have Woodmont join the Soup Kitchen Community.
