We had a record number of guests today... 76. First United Methodist did a great job preparing and serving hamburgers, baked beans, baked potatoes, chips, pie and cookies.

Wow! First Presbyterian Church is in the process of painting and cleaning the kitchen and it looks great. Thanks to the participating churches this week for putting up with the process. Westminster Presbyterian in anticipation of the 'mess' prepared ham sandwiches, potato salad, chips, dessert and fruit. We had 63 guests.

Edgemont Methodist wins the most volunteer award...their congregation likes to be involved. They served the 62 guests vegetable soup and cheese toast. Dessert was prepared by The Temple.

Magnolia Church of Christ won the 'clean plate award' because all 54 guests cleaned their plates. The menu was Italian chicken, vegetable casserole, mixed fruit and cookies, a roll, love and smiles.

The men from First Baptist were so great in the kitchen. They cooked so much food, messed up so many pots and pans and then cleaned them all. What a joy! They prepared biscuits, bacon, sausage, eggs, and grits. We served 59 guests.

The menu today included chicken breasts, baked potatoes with the trimmings, green beans, rolls and dessert. All this was prepared by First United Methodist Church and there were 58 guests.

Saturday September 4, 2010

Trinity Episcopal was back today with delicious barbecue sandwiches, slaw, baked beans and dessert. Fifty-two guests enjoyed this meal.

Trinity Episcopal only had 39 guests but they were served a great meal of pork loin, green beans and potatoes, cole slaw, rolls and cupcakes.
